Dr. Linsey grove
St. Petersburg City Council District 6
Dr. Linsey Grove is a public health advocate, educator, small business owner, and longtime St. Petersburg resident with nearly two decades of experience advancing equity and community engagement. A proud 12-year homeowner in the Roser Park neighborhood, she previously served as president of the League of Women Voters of the St. Petersburg Area, championing initiatives on reproductive health access, affordable housing, voting rights, LGBTQ+ youth awareness, and safer streets. She has also advocated for zoning reform and community benefits agreements while running a local business that connects small businesses with nonprofits in need of administrative support.
Grove is running for St. Petersburg City Council’s District 6 seat, which encompasses downtown, businesses and neighborhoods along Central Avenue, and communities extending toward the coast. She is focused on making St. Petersburg more affordable, modernizing infrastructure, strengthening storm and climate resilience, and revitalizing neighborhoods through community centered investment. Grove supports expanding affordable housing, improving public transit and pedestrian safety, investing in stormwater systems, and helping local businesses remain sustainable. She also wants to make local government more accessible by supporting neighborhood associations and expanding youth programming. In addition she seeks to remove barriers to civic participation, including by providing childcare at community meetings and scheduling them outside traditional work hours.
