John Ruckelshaus

John Ruckelshaus is the Republican candidate for Indiana Senate District 29, which includes parts of Carmel, Indianapolis, and Zionsville. Ruckelshaus previously served in the Indiana House of Representatives from 1990 to 1992 and the Indiana Senate from 2016 to 2020. He lost his 2020 reelection campaign. Ruckelshaus has a record of conservative positions. Ruckelshaus supports extreme restrictions on abortion and stated that he believes that life begins at conception. He has also expressed support for teachers carrying guns in schools and opposes restrictions on gun ownership.
