Paul Howe III

Paul Howe III is the Republican candidate for West Virginia House of Delegates District 70, in Clarksburg. Howe is a business owner, former Harrison County School Board member, and current Clarksburg Water Board member. In a questionnaire for the 2026 primary, Howe stated that he believes abortion should be banned except “in the case of saving the mother.” He also agreed that destruction of human embryos created through IVF should be prohibited– a measure that could dramatically reduce access to IVF. He also considers gender affirming care for minors child abuse, is against gay marriage, supports preventing trans girls from participating in girls sports, and says there shouldn’t be any restrictions on gun ownership. He has been endorsed by Americans for Prosperity- West Virginia.
