Dr. Jane Aman is a lecturer at the University of Central Florida and longtime community organizer with a career rooted in public service. Her commitment to her students and belief that Florida needs strong leaders inspired her to run for Florida’s 37th house district, representing parts of Orange County and Seminole County. Before joining UCF, she taught at the University of Florida and Rollins College and taught high school students at Seminole County’s Crooms Academy of Information Technology, where she also coached the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams. 

Her engagement with advocacy began as a student at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she served as a Student Senator and Vice President of Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity (URGE). She has also volunteered with the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence in El Paso and helped organize fundraising events supporting organizations such as the Borderland Rainbow Center. Now, she is running to fill an open seat in one of Florida's most competitive state House districts – Republicans won by just 450 votes in 2024 – and she’s ready to put working families and students ahead of corporate interests.
